Blockchain technology translates into blocks with information (records) that are linked together, through cryptography, in this way each block prevents undetected changes from being made to the immediately preceding block, and so on. It is a technology that allows the maintenance and sharing of records in a distributed and decentralized way, while ensuring their integrity through the use of a validation consensus protocol with cryptographic signatures. In the context of education in Europe, there is still little standardization of student records. The “TRUE” project aims to develop an integrated training strategy for the assimilation of blockchain technology in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across Europe. To this end, the project will produce: a basic knowledge pack on the potential of blockchain technology adapted to Higher Education, including a competency framework for the blockchain expert (HEI staff member to be identified); training content and tools aimed at HEI staff on blockchain technology, implemented in a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course), as well as a serious game that provides an innovative learning experience on how blockchain technology works.
