Altino Manuel Silva Sampaio studied at the University of Porto where he got his degree in Electrical and Computers Engineering in 2002. He got his PhD in Informatics Engineering from same institution in 2015. Currently he is an Assistant Professor at School of Management and Technology (ESTG) of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. His research topics of interest include Energy efficiency and Fault Tolerance on Distributed Computing (e.g., Cloud Computing), and Computer Security. He is a member of DAIAS (Distributed Artificial Intelligence and Agent-based Simulation) group at LIACC (Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science), and also collaborates with CIICESI (Center for Research and Innovation in Business Sciences and Information Systems).
