Henrique Lopes Cardoso holds a PhD in Informatics Engineering (Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, 2011), a MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Computation (University of Porto, 1999) and is graduated in Management Informatics (Universidade Portucalense, 1997). He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Informatics Engineering at FEUP and an integrated researcher at LIACC. He is a member of the Directive Board of the Portuguese Association for Artificial Intelligence (APPIA). He coordinates the Argumentation Hub (ARGH), a multidisciplinary and collaborative lab on Argumentation, within the Media Innovation Labs (UPorto). He organized several workshops collocated in international conferences and has taken part in the program committee of several international conferences and workshops. He was co-Program Chair of EPIA 2017. He is co-author of dozens of scientific papers in international journals and conferences (most indexed in ISI Web of Science and Scopus), as well as of several book chapters. He participated in several national and European research projects, as well as in some European scientific networks (namely Agreement Technologies and SINTELNET).
