João Alberto Fabro received in 1994 his B.Sc. in informatics from Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), Brazil, and in 1996 the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from UNICAMP, Campinas SP, Brazil. He received in 2003 the Ph.D. degree in computer engineering from Graduate Program in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Informatics (CPGEI), UTFPR, Brazil, and Postdoctoral degree at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, Portugal. He was a professor at UNIOESTE (State University of Western Paraná) from 1998 to 2007. Since 2008 he is Professor at Federal University of Technology - Paraná (UTFPR) teaching in a set of educational programs. He has experience in Computer Science, with emphasis on Artificial Intelligence, working mainly in the following subjects: Autonomous Mobile Robotics, Computational Intelligence (Neural Networks, Fuzzy Systems, Evolutionary Computing) and Educational Technologies.
